We had the opportunity to start this lake from scratch. We stocked the lake with red ear sunfish and copper nose bluegill in the Fall of 2017. In June of 2018, we added the finest genetics of pure Florida bass. In March 2022, we already had reports of bass over 10 lbs.

Since the originally stocking we have added 10’s of thousands of dollars of more bluegill and threadfin shad. Each year an additional forage fish have been added and will be added. In other words, it is not an accident that we have grown 10 lb bass in 4 years.

We were able to work with the owner to create dramatic humps of rocks and timber that create an absolutely stunning array of fish habitats. There are dozens of brush piles and some that are more than 100 feet long and 30 feet high. Most quarry lakes are not designed for fishing. This lake is different it is laid out for the fisherman and for the fish.

There is a 100 foot long 16-foot wide concrete boat ramp that would be the envy of every private lake in the state.

This lake is a flagship lake for Private Water Fishing, and we need your help to keep it this way. In order to fish here, you must agree to harvest all bass 16 inches and smaller. If you do not like to harvest, we respectfully ask that you fish another one of our fisheries where the harvest is not requested. Remember we are harvesting all bass 16 inches and smaller only.

This lake is one of the most popular in the club and we intend to keep it that way. We limit fishing reservations to 8 or fewer reservations a month. So, the lake rests 22-23 days a month. So, if you see most days blacked out for reservations. This is not fishing pressure, these are rest days.

MANDATORY!!! Remove all bass 16" and under at this site. Report the total number of each species removed, back to the club office through the online reservation system after your outing.

Please remember to bring a bucket with you to take the harvest fish 16" and smaller if you plan to eat them. Otherwise there is an aerated tub to place live cull bass at the dock. Do not leave your cull /harvest bass in the mini pontoon boats live well.

BOAT & TRAILER WASH RULES

Bank fishing is not allowed.

There is a 14-foot jon boat for members to use by request. Call the club office so that we can have the boat brought to the boat ramp PRIOR to your day of fishing.

A mini pontoon boat has been added for members to use. Please note that it is recommended that you have at least a 50 lb thrust trolling motor with a 42" shaft or greater to move this boat. We also recommend that you bring 2 batteries with you. This is a big lake and you will likely drain a single battery and may need a backup battery if you are fishing all day. The switch to turn on and off the live well is at the front of the boat near the battery. PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE CULL BASS IN THE LIVE WELL. TAKE THEM WITH YOU.

There are no catfish or crappie in the lake.
