Finally got in the water about 10:40am and left around 6:15pm. Very windy first part of the trip. Per the owner’s brother who spoke with us, the water level was high from all the rain. Only caught three fish the first four hours. Then, the bite picked up some the last three hours. Blue bird day. All bass except one were caught on soft plastic near grass beds. Largest bass was returned before we could get the scales on him to make sure he wasn't out of the water too long, but likely 6+ pounds based on how thick he was. Next largest was 4.5 pounds and 3.5 pounds. Everything else dinks to 2 pounds. First time there. Awesome fishing environment. Just bad luck on windy conditions and water level.
Also, we saw one cull fish jump out of the tank on the dock as we were loading up. So, likely only 11 left in there. Porta potty was a great addition near the boat launch.
