Today’s mission- Resurected the ultra-light for some de-dinking/ find fish (not hard)/ have fun!

Knowing I wasn't on a big fish hunt like I have had the past few months I wanted to go to a lake I really like 20 min from the house to see what the day would bring. Yes a few good fish in that lake but it needs culling. Silver members will enjoy this lake and its potential.

Water temp 65-71, stained 6” vis

lots of BIG Red Ear fun on the ultra light with the occasional bass. One of the 14” was in the ultra and very fun to hear the zing of the drag, the 2 lb crappie as well.
Bass were in another stage of spawn, all in 2’ water. Caught 3-2 twice same spot. Early n late. Exact same spot. White gate area. Lost a bigger one early early in that area, wrapped me up on that fence

a very friendly white Shepard with blue eyes came to visit me at lunch and hung around the shore the rest of they day taking a swim occasionally. Sweet dog. She ran back to the house off n on. Even escorted me to the gate when I left then went back home.

Great adventure as always at Travis. Tight lines ya’ll
