This was my first time at The Jordan. Got to the lake at noon expecting to find the pontoon boat and spend the afternoon on the water.  For some reason the boat was not available.  Not sure why, but they’re taking care of that at the club office.  The good news is that this lake is fairly easy to bank fish, so that’s what I did.  The first fish was a nice crappie caught on an swim bait.  That was the only crappie and the only catch on the swin bait.  After tying a rat-l-trap and Tx Rigg, i started catching bass on the wacky worm, mostly junebig.  Caught a nice 4.5 and 3 lb bass in the brish pile on the dam near the spillway along with a couple of small ones off the dam.  Most of the others were caught in the brush pile across from the small island.  Ended up with 13 total fish including the crappie and a fat catfish also off the dam.  Ended the day plenty tired at about 6:00.  I’m sure more fish could have been caught from the boat, but all in all the afternoon turned out good.  I’ll definately try this lake again.
