Lures Used : spinner bait, shallow running crankbait, soft plastics
First time fishing this site this property is beautiful and peaceful. The lake appears to pretty full due to all of the recent rain.The boat on site is full of water and not really useable from the rain. The bite was somewhat slow and i had trouble finding much of a pattern. Tried all types of lures, but settled on a watermellon seed paddle tail worm because this was working best. Caught 15 bass all but two were under the 12 inch limit and harvested the rest. These fish are very stong fighters and love to jump. The water has about three feet visibility with a bit of a grass issue so baits with treble hooks get fouled pretty easy.

Thanks for the report Greg, glad you had a good time out there! Regarding the boat, the owner’s keep it in the water to make it easier for our members; when they know someone is coming and using the boat they will pump it out if necessary and make sure that it is ready for use. They are very gracious hosts and want to make sure all our members have a great experience!
