Wife and I spent the day at Frannies.  We love this lake and were looking forward to a “bite on” day.  Far from it, as luck would have it a spring front came through around 12:00 and the lake saw the winds change from southerly to northernly over the next 3 hours an it blew hard.  Fished the quiet areas of the lake until the winds calmed down around 5:00 pm.  Noticable drop in temperature.  Worked hard and fished all over the lake.  Good news is the lake looks to me to be about 3’ high so the lower end of the lake is fishable from 7’ to around 4’.  Weeds have not yet choked this area out yet.  Water temp was easlily 5 degree warmer down there.  Most of our fish were caught in this area with a few on the west across from the doc.  Swim jig saw the best action.  Did lose around 5 fish at the boat which would have helped the numbers.  Love this lake but did not see the larger fish we normally catch...this probibly has more to do with our fishing skills.  Anyway great day on the lake thanks to the land owner and PFW for the chance to have this lake to ourselves.
