After 5 inches of rain in the area on Thursday and Friday I was curious to see how Bennett Lake faired.  I arrived at 10AM on Saturday morning with no troubles and the road and launch were in good condition.  

The fish were scattered and were receptive to a number of offerings.  The water was still crystal clear despite all of the rain and the storm had disturbed the vegetaion such that there was a lot of floating debris that entangled the line over the whole lake.  

The fish would turn on and off quickly and could always be re-fired on a lure change.  I changed lures often!

The geese and the hawks and the ducks put on quite a display at this beautiful retreat.  I heard the eagles a couple of times but never saw them.  I left the fish biting at 5PM when I left.  No place has solitude quite like Bennett!
