Total Fish/Sizes : 47 - Biggest 7 lbs.
Lures Used : Texas rigged fluke, chatter bait, big spinner bait

Mike and I fished Saturday afternoon and could not have had nicer weather to be on the water.  It was warm and there was no breeze when we got on the lake.  But a light SE wind came up mid afternoon.  Water temperature was 64 degrees when we started out and got up to 69 degrees later in the day.  Water clarity was around 4’.  Lake level still down around 4’.  We caught 47 with the 3 biggest. one at 7 lbs, and two at 6 lbs 11 0z.  A Texas rigged fluke, chatter bait, big spinner bait and swim bait all worked.  The fish were fat and healthy.  No particular pattern.  Caught them along the east & west shores, along the long points out in to the lake and right out in the middle.  A fun lake to fish with so much water.  Hard to fish it all in an afternoon.

That is one garbonzo bass. Massive girth for that weight. Healthy. Looked like a fun day. Yeah that lake has a lot of water to cover, and lots of cover in that water.

This fish is 140% of relative weight. Crazy fat!!

This lake is likely a top 5 under appreciated lake in the entire club. Its 2.5 hours from downtown Dallas or FortWorth and less than 2 hours from DFW northern suburbs.

160 Acres of water all to yourself. It amazes me how our Texas members are sleeping on this place. Crossing the red river is easy. Go for it!

Last fall we had two members who fished here and caught over 30 bass over 5 lbs. Yes 30. Nothing over 7.5 lbs, but 30 over 5 lbs!!! Likely this bass are pure nothern (native) strain bass. Which means they generally top out at 7-8 lbs but are extremely aggresive and less likely to become conditioned to fishing pressure.
