Son, David, and I were on the lake by 1:30.  Our first trip to Sandy Creek and was quite impressed with the beauty of the place.  Owner has obviously done a lot of work to keep the grounds around the lake in good shape.  Very little wind; water temp 62, clear to about 24 inches.  We fished the largest of the three lakes from 1:30 to 5:30 and caught 16 healthy looking bass.  It took a while to realize we only needed to throw as close to the bank as possible and caught them, obviously, on beds.  Most were male with about three females still full of eggs.  The bait of choice was the Craw.  Lost the big one, I think; felt like the fish of the day but never got a look.  

We left at 5:30 and fished the third lake from 6:00 til 7:30.  Caught 35 dinks on a small spinner and small topwater bait.  Left with the coons smiling.  What a nice day: got to fish with my son, great weather, plenty of fish on a great looking property!  It doesn’t get much better than that.
