Fellow member Charles McCarble and I fished AA on Saturday.  We didn’t start till later in the day as there was some rain and once we got on the water, the wind was punishing.  That said, was still able to pull up a good number of fish, though we didn’t really get anything massive which happens.

Fish were holding between 15-25ft where the bait was an the first 10 feet on my graphs was very choppy as the wind had the water pretty churned.  A trap or Arig slowly fished through that zone got the work done.

The shallows have a fair bit of filamentous algae which makes fishing anyting other than a frog over the top pretty tough, though this will die off in the next month and then become erradicated by tilapia.  Not a thing to worry about per se, just a seasonal deal till the coontail on the shallow areas and edge of lake fully comes in.

Fish were in great shape and the females caught were egged up and in prespawn but not really moved up to the next area.

Water temps were in 62.

Left my phone in the truck so I don’t have pics this time.
