Had intended on taking the boat out but steady 15 mph winds kept me near the shoreline by the boat ramp.

Immediately had several bites on a small white chatter bait and picked up one smaller, one to 1 1/2 pound bass. Also tossed a black and purple jig with no bites.

Also tossed a white and clear jerk bait, which garnered one 1 1/2 or so, pound bass as well.

Without electronics could not tell water temperature, but seem to be still cold ...due to the wind visability was very low, especially near the bank, lots of grass suspended about 3 feet below even the deepest areas.

Strikes were extremely aggressive. Surprisingly, temperature peaked out at about 78°, and again the winds were very strong continuously. Fished for a total of about three hours with lots of strikes, and four on shore, all in all very fun afternoon, and want to come back to fish the rest of the lake from a boat.
