This lake is so well maintained and the property owner should be proud.  Nice boat ramp and really easy for my kayak.  Cold and windy in the morning and I tried everything...and only one nice 4 pounder on a dead stick zoom fluke.  I took a break for lunch and had only that one fish.  Frustrated I calmed down and I walked around for a few minutes.  I saw a ton of dead minnows/shad (I don't know which) up in the shallow.  See pic. Not sure if anyone likes these dudes but I watch Tactical bassin with Matt and Tim and they are always preaching the A rig in winter.  So why not?!?  OMG, I crushed it the next four hours with 14 fish,  all big, fat and hard fighting size.  Several at 5-6 and a few over 3 and then a big momma that was between 8-9.  I didn't have a digital scale so was using my BOGO grip, trying to take a picture, hold the fish and keep the kayak straight.  See pics.  Once I downsized the flukes on the A rig, the fish were thumping it and I had a blast. The thing about that rig is you gotta throw it with a broomstick almost because it's so heavy but I needed the rod backbone to land those fish.
I feel ill-suited to tell others where to go but I would position the kayak near the grass line and cast away to deeper water and they were definitely coming up to crush that A rig.  All the fish were on the far side and I tried to put a picture for y'all.
thank you so much double A and PWF  for a Great Lake.
