Jim Collins and I fished Lakota Lake on our Kayaks on December 15, 2022.  It was a beautiful sunny day with calm winds and a great for kayak fishing.  Unfortunately, the fish were not cooperating.  We arrived a little after 9 am and fished until 3 pm.  Over the course of the day, we only caught 6 bass and one catfish.  One of the bass was a little over 3 pounds while the rest were in the 1 to 1.5 pound range.  We also lost a few (which appeared to be decent size fish) as they managed to spit out the hook just as they broke to the surface.  We tried different lures with little luck.  Plastic worms / senkos were the most successful bait.  We fished the entire lake. The fish we did catch were in deeper water; about 8 to10 feet. 

Nevertheless,  we had a great time.  It was a wonderful day to be out fishing and Lakota is a very beautiful property.
