After keeping up with the weather forecast roller coaster early in the week
Temp 65, Light Winds and cloudy skies
Steve and I decided to reserve AA, always a favorite spot.
”What We Got Was A Cold Front That Moved In Early Saturday Morning”
The only thing missing was rain.
On The Water about 07:30 wind blowing good from the north
so I headed for the dam area to get a little wind cover,
anchored down and worked the area hard moving in and out
and re-anchoring anywhere it would hold, not much luck even in my little boat with a 15lb anchor
wouldn’t stay in place.
Steve and I had a couple of quick light bumps but that was it all morning.
Took break around 11:30
the wind did start dying down wich made this situation a bit more managable .
Back on the water about 13:00
still no visible action of any kind, seems as though this cold front infected the fish
with a bad case of lock Jaw..
Finally around 15:00 I pitched a Fluke with a underspin right next to a PVC marker
and the only fish in the lake not affected by the lock jaw virus exploded on it as soon as it hit the water.
atleast I didn’t pull a skunk and it turned out to be a decent fish a little over 5LB’s..
Still Had A Good Time As Always Fishing With Steve
and even though it tough day withought much of a pay off
It still beat a day of working..
