Got to the lake at 8.  Slow morning, with no interest shown in any frogs or topwater baits. Same lack of interest in senkos, flukes and other soft plastics.  Nothing happened until I went down to the dam and started throwing a blue and white squarebill minnow, where I caught 2 good sized bass in 3 casts.  Things quieted back down and I tried a rage tail craw near the pipeline.  A nice sized bass hit it and broke me off as it got close to shore.  That was the only hit I had on soft plastics all day.   

Went to the other side of the lake after noon and continued to get bites and fish on the squarebill and a red/orange rattletrap.  The last 2 I caught were dinks up in the shallower water, but pretty energetic fighters.  

The lake looks to be a couple of feet low, but  probably about the same levels ive seen there before.  Still a lot of grass to contend with, but a good day to be out on the water
