Great afternoon at Jones Lake. The lake was down about 1 ½ ft, visibility 3ft plus,vegetation 3ft below the surface except along the shore line.It would have been a muddy affair to launch our kayaks from the normal launch area so we unloaded at the dam opposite the owners boat dock. This made for an easy launch.

I went with another member and we caught 81 bass and 5 bluegill. The largest bass were 2 ½ lbs and 35 were removed. Some of the fish were  thin so not enough have been removed in the past. This lake is a beautiful place to fish but it gets very little attention from club members.It is a long drive.

After catching bass along the shore line we found them stacked up around the exposed brush/trees out in the lake. 75 % of our fish came on 4” wat/red wacky or wat/seed wacky worm. Tx rig in the same colors produced the other fish.75 % of the fish came from the owners dock half of the lake.
