It was a really tough day at Double A, but the few that I did catch were good quality so it was a little bittersweet. I fished from 6:30AM-7:30PM. Caught 4 on a buzzbait (3 of which were over 4 pounds)...1 on a suspending jerkbait (also over 4 pounds)..and one on a yellow magic. I went from about 10:30 until 6:30 without a bite! I threw a fluke in a couple different colors because of the previous fishing reports but they didn't touch it. Threw everything from a senko to a glide bait and everything in between but they just weren't having it. I didn't see much bait either. I was kind of expecting yesterday to be tough when I saw the weather forecast several days ago…blue bird skies, wind blowing hard out of the north, and storms the day before. Still had a blast and I'll be back soon because I know this place is awesome.
I also had a chance to meet the landowner, Joe. Very nice man and can tell that he's willing to do whatever he can to grow giant bass. He took about 20 minutes out of his day to show me some of the layout of the lake in an attempt to put me on more fish, so I thought that was cool.
