From reading previous reports I expected some difficulty getting the boat in the water and it was indeed tough. Due to the low water and vegetation, there isnt really a good place to, a) get vehicle close to the water edge and, b) get through the ultra thick mat of vegetation to open water.

With considerable effort we finally got to open water and the fishing was enjoyable. The water is clear and the fish have beautiful color to them. The thermocline was at 18ft and I was able to find brush in the creek channel at 15ft and the fish stayed stacked up most of the day. The fish are short but stocky and hit aggressive. It seemed the longer the fish was the less meat on his bones so harvesting should pay off.

Due to the water level and vegetation, only about 60% of the lake is fishable and its mostly the main lake. I dont think a trailer could be used for launch for those considering fishing here. I would love to see this lake when the water level is normal, lets hope mother nature provides some much needed rainfall soon!
