My son and I got to Pecan Gap about 8:00 am and fished until noon. It was a beautiful clear morning that turned into mostly cloudy.   We mostly fished the trees and brush piles at the southeast end of the lake and along the west bank.  Most of the fish were caught in the deeper water, some were along the bank. We caught 7 LMB in from 1.5 to just under 3 lbs and 4 small under 12”,  No big ones, but all were good looking healthy fish. We caught them all onT-Rigg or Carolina Rigg worms.  We tried top water and crank bait, no luck.  This is a great lake and I’m sure we’ll catch bigger fish as the weather cools. Already looking forward to the next trip.
