Got to the property around 6:30 am. No surprise, but the lake is low. The south end is very sallow. I used the club boat. I have learned to always bring a plastic jug to remove any water leaking into the boat. There is a small leak in the boat, but not a problem if you come prepared. Topwater was the choice in the am. I was getting hits on almost every cast. They hit the Whooper Popper so much they broke the lure. I switched to the light green TX rig stick bait with a spinner in the tail end and worked it around the brush. Caught a few 2-3 lbs. I got tired of catching fish,  so went to the middle and started to throw a squrebill in hopes of catching a few larger fish. Caught a few more 2-3lbs there. Great place to take kiddos if you want to catch fish.
