I went into this trip knowing it would be short and likely less successful than others given the weather. I've been fishing long enough to know to not have high expectations in August. 
I haven't been able to get a line in the water in several weeks, so I booked last minute when I found out I wouldn't be needed at home for the afternoon. 
I banked fished for a short while and landed 2 on swimjigs. Both were below the harvest cutoff of 15”.  However, as I was measuring one of them on the dock, he saw an opportunity and jumped perfectly to live to be caught another day.  Therefore, 1 fish was harvested. 
Overall, no disappointment here. Despite the heat, I still enjoy getting out there and casting when the schedule allows.
