I fished Salt Lick on Saterday and started about 5:40 am and went as long as I could but called it by 1:00 pm. Watercolor was good with viz about 3’.

Started off throwing a whopper plopper and a popper bait. These baits produced the biggest fish, and the first bite I got on a whopper plopper got a 2 for 1. What a way to start the day see pic. Not sure if it counts since 1 of the bass was foul hooked. I think I caught four on topwater, but I only threw them for about an hour, then I switched to TX Rig and Shaky head. 

I didn’t catch many in the same spot and had to move to get them, but they bit steady until about noon. I think I died out, not the bite. This summer seems to be taking it out of me a little more than previous summers. 

I did cull 8, most of which were 12” to 13”.
