My dad wanted to go to Black Hat for his Fathers Day.  We fished all morning pretty hard.  The lake is full of growth, algae...very tough to fish if you don’t know how to do it.  It also makes the little boat quite a challenge to maneuver.  The property is beautiful and I am sure there are quality big fish in there...I just could not find any.  I lost a few on the frog.  Which if anyone has any tips, help me out.  These last few times I have gone out, I am getting bit; I bring in just a little slack and set the hook but cannot seem to get the timing down.  I’m committed to figuring it out. 

Next, time I will bring my kayak as the back half of the lake seems unfishable with some much stuff in the water, there is no way a trolling motor is getting back there by the island.  My dad loved the time and the fishing so not a bad way to spend a Monday morning.   Tight lines.
