I had expected a great day, but it didn’t happen. I have had some good trips to Tara, but the fish weren’t cooperative today.  I still think the fish are in the expected places. The wind was much stronger than I expected and I wore myself out trying to keep my kayak in position. I should also mention a caution. The metal pier or walkway opposite the launch area is a gathering site for water mocassions. I was busy tying on another bait and my kayak drifted up close to the pier. I turned to check where I was and saw three snakes laying on top. Fortunately, they just slithered off in the water.
