My son Ben and I got to the property at about 8:00 AM and started on the East Lake.  Fished there unill about 11:00 but really struggled with the vegetation. We had a couple of hits, but nothing in the boat.  So we moved to the East Lake.  We had been fishing wacky worms, flukes, weightless worms, and some top water with little luck when Ben changed to a Carolina rig just off the dam and started catching fish, so we stayed with the Carolina rig the rest of the day.  We fished untill about 7:30 and ended the day with 18 LMB mostly between 2.5 and 4 lbs with he largest at 5.4 lbs,  all healthy, strong fighters. We caught all the fish either off the dam or on the south side of the lake, mostly in deeper water. The 2 crappie were also caught in deeper water off the dam. All in all a terrific day on a beautiful lake.  Already looking forward to the next time out!
