Arrived at daylight to find steam rising from a mirror smooth lake.  Nothing was chasing bait and had no luck on top waters.  The post front high was in place and by 9:30 the wind was picking up.  Thermocline was at 8 feet, though I tried deeper.  Nothing bit deeper than the thermocline.  Still caught 4 over 3 lbs.  By noon the wind was over 20, gusting higher.  Finally gave up the fight at 2.  Beautiful day!
