I’ve been fishing PWF waters since about 1999 whether it was as a youth, guest, or member. This was one of the wildest days I’ve ever had.

One the water at lake #1 by 6:30-45. Had a few takers on a pop-r right outside of the grass line. Switched to a white spinnerbait which I had good success on. Caught 18 total ranging from a 1-3 pounds by 10:30. Probably should’ve stayed at this lake a little longer but I decided to go try lake #3 where I ended up staying for the rest of the day.

On lake #3 by 10:45 or so. Started out throwing the white spinnerbait that I had success on at the previous lake and caught 5 fish pretty fast. They kept short striking it so I decided to change baits. I remember reading in a previous report that somebody had pretty good success on a black and blue wacky worm. Tied one on threw my bait in the water and put my tackle box up. When I picked my rod up there was a fish on it! Making one pass around the lake almost every cast yielded a fish. By lunch time I had probably 40-50 fish total and about half worn out at this point I decided it was time for lunch. Went back out and it was just fish after fish. Didn’t matter where I threw I’d catch one almost every cast. Every fish at this lake was around the pound range but fought pretty hard. Caught 101 total at lake #3 from 10:30-3:30. I planned on staying until about sunset but the fish just wore me out.

There has only been one other time where triple digits were caught and that was between two of us at a lake that is no longer on the club. This was one of the craziest days I’ve ever had on the water. If my uncle had been with me we easily would’ve had over 200. Thank you to PWF and landowners for making days like this possible.
