Had a great time at Five Finger Springs. Started with the senko (my confidence lure) to see how the bite was and immediately landed two smaller largemouth. Switched to bigger baits so I wouldn’t have to harvest, since I don’t like killing bass, even if it’s for the good of the lake. Tried some swimbaits but no luck, so I spent the rest of the day tossing jigs and throwing a punch rig into thick weeds, since it was really hot and I figured they’d be taking refuge underneath them. That paid off and while I got fewer bites, the fish were larger. The biggest one was 17” so it was nothing to write home about, but the punch bite is always exciting. Looking forward to exploring more lakes with PWF!
