Total Fish/Sizes : 31 total, largest 4.5 lb, most 1-2 lbs, all returned to lake, few bluegill too
Lures Used : topwater, wacky, TX Rig, crank baits, Rattlin Rogue, spinner
It was a good day fishing May 2, but the wind again made holding the boat tough. Have you read that before?
Two of us fished 7 am til 3 pm with a quick lunch break at noon.
Great location and beautiful place for a good looking fishing lake. We caught 80% of the bass on the visible brush piles in 6-10 ft of water, and the rest were around the banks near the island. The Rattlin Rogue was the ‘hot” lure on a straight chunk and retrieve. No topwater bite early and the worms (wacky and Tx rig) were somewhat mixed in results. The largest fish was on the TX rig off a point.
The bluegills hit everything. I bet a bucket of crickets would get you some nice ones.

Great trip.
Question? Did you have any issue with the lock? Last two times I went to Lakota, the club lock would nop open. Had to call and get combo for owner to get in. Was lock ok? Going soon myself.
