My uncle and I were on the water by 7am and fished until about 4pm. The lake is still down about 5 feet or so. From the boat dock we headed towards the dam and fished the west side of the lake first. We couldn’t get the fish interested in top water so we started throwing the tackle box at them. Didn’t get many bites until we got to the old tank dam where I started catching them on a chatterbait and my uncle was catching them on a wacky worm. We fished both coves over by the old tank dam before the wind got up and we were catching them pretty steadily until then up about 10-10:30 or so. After that, the fight with the wind was on for the rest of the day. We culled 36 only returning 4 between the both of us. All of our fish were two pounds and under. Nothing of size this trip. Most of our catches were in the lower half of the lake with the majority of those being off of the old tank dam or on the east side of the lake.
