I usually do okay here, but not so much this last trip. The conditions were great, cloudy with a mostly south wind. My issue I ran into was that the grass was thick on the shallow half of the lake where the wind was pushing me. I knew that fish were in there and did, my best, but even my top water baits would be covered in grass every cast. I moved past the ramp and was able to start catching. I landed five fish or so over the whole day. Even in the deeper parts of the lake I was still pulling in grass that was floating around and sometimes needing to clean off the trolling motor. the little cove to the opposite bank were where I caught all the bass and one catfish I got. I did try deep cranks in the 20ft area, but no luck and the fish finder wasn’t showing me much over there. Still a nice lake, but be aware that the shollower end is pretty overgrown for now. Hopefully it clears up soon.
