Took my father out to Smithville the Saturday before Easter. Conditions were incredible…overcast, light wind and great water quality. I really appreciated the fact that the boat was already in the water by the dock ready to go. We caught ~15 on soft plastics between 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM, mostly on silver shad jerk baits and pumpkin seed worms with a bullet weight. Most productive area was along the north bank. Didn’t get a lot of action around the brush piles. Only caught one of size, with the majority being culls. Took a peek inside the cabin, and it looks really nice. Overall a fun morning.
