My son Jon and I had one of our best trips this year. Got on the bite right away with yellow magic popping bait in shad color. The were blasting topwater until 10:30 or so. We then tried several other lures, after a few minutes we started pounding them with tr green pumpking stick worms and junebug blue fleck 10” magnum worms with ribbon tail. We stopped counting at 50, my guess is we had around 60 for the day. Biggest was just under 6 lbs. with majority of fish in the 3-4 lb. range (only 6 culls). Fish were pretty much every where EXCEPT in the deeper water by the dam. All fish were caught in less than 2- 3’ of water.
