Well, I was only able to mustard 8 bass on 3/3. I believe the water was still a little cold but it did warm up later in the afternoon. Got out there around 930 am. The water temp was around 50 degrees and clarity was 2-3’. The grass matt was below the surface making it a little easier to work certain lures. Cranking mainly worked for me but I did have luck with the brushhog. Tried throwing the A-rig with no luck. Caught all 8 on the perimeter but did lose a monster on the ridge yoyoing a rattletrap from the bottom. She barely budged and I didn’t get a good hookup. The fish were sitting on the bottom with none suspended on the ridge. Did see the owner in the afternoon around 1. He is always nice as ever and is always looking to help. At that time, only 1 fish was boated and 2 missed. I did get a couple of taps on the 8” swimbait with no commitment. The sun finally warmed up the edges producing 7 more. They were caught on the dropoffs. They were all 2.5#- 3# chunks with 1 dink. Nothing large to write home about. I think the 35’ water will take a little longer to warm up compared to the other ponds. Will be back! Thank you Mr Owner and PWF!

8” swimbait?? You’re speaking my language! Love a good swimbait day. Great report here! You’re right, I imagine once those deeper spots start really warming up it’ll be game on out there!
Cheers
