My brother and I fished Dogleg Ranch on March 2, 2022 in the afternoon.  As advertised, this lake has lots of largemouth in the 12-14 inch slot.  The winds were light and the air temperature was in the low seventies.  The water was clear.  From noon to 2:00pm we were unproductive on crank baits, jigs, and spinners.  About 2:00pm I starting slowly crawling a Ned-rigged Zman Molting Craw.  Within the next two hours we caught 9, 12-14 inch bass, exclusively with that presentation.  That was it.  Didn’t see anything larger.  Did see small schools of smaller bass.  The lake is considerably off its normal size and depth but still plenty to work with for a half day.  We caught all our fish within 100 yards of the dam.
