Just to prove that there will always be a one-to-many relationship between reports like John Shepard’s recent report and this kind of report. :)

Pam and I fished The Jordan on Sunday under very tough conditions in bass-speak. So, don’t let that hold you back on booking this property. It is a great property with easy access and large stable pontoon boat. We were definitely early by a few days considering the several days of hard freezes – morning temps were still freezing and wind was straight out of the north sustained at 13MPH or more all day although it got up to 55F outside by the afternoon. Water temps were 43F and viz was right about 10IN. The bite was just shutdown. Enough excuses – we landed 5 up to 2lbs with 1 of those harvested. Caught one or two each on flatside crankbait, dark sleeper, and paddletail w/ underspin. All of these were caught on the northern/deeper end of the lake.

The sad and somewhat comical story is that we ended up with a dead battery almost right out of the chute (my fault) – so we got windblown down to the far south end of the lake. We did some bank fishing and enjoyed a picnic trying to get out of the wind against a partially protected bank. I decided to suck it up and start paddling the large boat with the a single small paddle. Did I mention the wind? LOL. Anyway, thankfully I’m in fairly good shape. I was able to get us out of the inlet and around some points and then we walked the boat in the rest of the way, pulling it along from the shore with a rope. Made it all the way back to launch site and got a good workout in as well!

All good and we look forward to the next PWF outing!

Tough day Mark but what a fun way to get your cardio in for the week? Ha. I've had a few of those days as well – the work out consolation prize isn't the most fun trophy to walk away with.

Cheers

Mark,

Thanks for making the effor to bring the boat back to the right spot. I know that was a pain in the arse. Might be time to get a back up battery. We recommend taking two batteries when heading out. For days just like that. I can’t tell you how many times I thought I had a fully charged battery only to find out it wasn’t.
