Lago Escondido is attractive and well mantained.  We were shut out in the morning from 8:30-12:30.  There were sustained winds at 20mph and gusts to 35.  I tried everything in my tackle box and worked almost the entire lake with no bites.  After a lunch break and due to continued high winds we decided to finish the day fishing off the boat dock.  Between 2:00 and 3:00pm we caught three bass dragging worms through heavy weed cover at about four foot depth; one 4-pounder, one 2.5 pounds and one under 16 inches.  Tough day on the lake due to weather but it ended well and we’ll be back later in the year.
