Fish Caught: 1 (8.04lb) 

Lures used: A rig, medium and deep crank, 6’’ swimbait, chatter bait, swim jig, and weightless senko. 

At first look, the lake looks simple. However, electronics show something much different. The underwater activity and topography make this lake extremely unique. It felt like I was fishing a much larger lake due to the topography changes. According to my fish finder, it appeared the bass were either suspended at 15-25 feet or chasing shad at 35 feet. I am new to using electronics; therefore, watching MASSIVE balls of shad surrounded by a few “swamp donkeys” kept me engaged the entire day. I caught my one and only on an A rig in 35 feet of water, probably suspended at 15ish feet. The fish looked very healthy and well-fed. I would have caught more; however, I need to sharpen my deep water fishing skills. 

It is apparent that the property owner takes excellent care of this lake. Double A is a premier fishing lake that I enjoyed and highly recommend.
