We arrived at this awesome property around 9am after eating breakfast with my brother in Canton before getting into the 30 degree temps. We were a little worried about how the fishing would be the massive cold front that rolled through the night before and if we had enough cold gear to stay warm. Well long story short our coveralls worked and almost to well because we started sweating before getting the boat in the water. Once we got on the water within 5 mins Roderick caught a 14” Bass on a ned rig with a spinner attached right in front of the boat lunch. I thought it was about to be none stop action but about 6 hours later I finally got the skunk out of the boat and hooked up with a 15” Bass and followed it up with a  17”.  Then my brother caught a slab crappie and then a 4 pounder on his rattletrap, we caught a couple more bass and I tried to focus on catching one of those slab crappie but didn’t catch that slab but did catch some. All these fish was caught in the usual spot between the island and Dam across from boat. We did notice something that appeared to be a dead cow in the water at the island but couldn’t tell for sure. All and all it was still a great day just being on the water with my brother and making memories as always. We loved the property and will be back hopefully without a cold front the day before.
