That is what I found at Post Oak Lake – Bryan the morning of Dec. 26. There was not a man made sound. Not a truck, a tractor, or airplane. I did not see another person and even the cows were absent. The water was up and clear, the sky was fully overcast, and the temp stayed about 70 with a stiff wind, but even that was calming. 

I banked fished from 9 to 3, caught 11 and culled 5. Biggest maybe 3 lbs. I lost a big one fishing off the dam just before departure time. It cleared the water about 10 feet from the bank and shook my lure right back at me. Maybe next time.  

Productive lures included a Chartreuse Bambo Wave worm rigged wacky style and a gold Chatterbait with a chartreuse shirt.
