I had two fly fisherman join me for an afternoon at Trinity Lakes. We started the day at Commanche and landed 5 fish. Four fish were under the slot and we had obe that was pushing 2 Lbs. The water temp was 65; warmer than I expected for December. most fish were caught drifting the middle of the lake and letting the fly sink pretty deep.

We moved to Arrowhead and spent the last two hours of daylight fishing the timber. We landed another 5 unders, lost one nice fish and returned two overs. The biggest was 2.5 lbs. The wind picked up and we could feel the temps drop as the front pushed through. We saw some shoreline blow ups, but we couldn’t get any bites on topwaters.
