Was able to finally get my brother out to fish with me so we hit Pecan Gap. Got pontoon loaded and on water at 10:45am and knew the fish were likely holding deep so fired up the Lowarance and started looking. Could see fish hugging the bottom with smaller fish suspended at 6-10ft.  Tried working a jigging spoon vertically under boat but not takers.  Picked up the A rig and first cast connected with a 7lber! Next cast a 6lber. Thought this was going to be an awesome day.  

Well then we got pushed off our spot so checked out the 2 main humps and the back creek channels but didn't see much on the sonar. Headed back to deep water and threw jerkbait, squarebill, flat sided crank bait, deep diving crankbait, spinnerbait, Magdraft, t-rig and dark sleeper. And nothing.

Things didn't pick up again until we moved back to our initial spot and picked up 5 more on A rig with my brother getting a smaller one on a swimbait. Off the water by 4:30pm

top 5 went for 27lbs so pretty awesome day.
 

I just need to get a finesse A rig my brother can throw on spinning gear😀
