Arrived right at dawn to low 40’s, however the temperature warmed up nicely by lunch time. The fishing was not easy as we had to work to catch approximately 30 fish between the two of us. The vast majority of the fish were caught at either ends of the dam as well as a few down the south side to a little cove. We fished the entire lake but did not get any action in the shallow end of the lake nor the middle. We could see fish in the clear water in the shallow end of the lake but no takers. The color of the day was white, although some fish were caught on other rigs most of the bites came on any thing white (swim jig, creature bait, worm, lipless crank bait). Most fish were in the 1 – 2 lb range, one was caught that looked about 3 Lb. but we did not have a scale. There is still quite a bit of weeds particularly in the shallow sections of the lake. One of our party was observed to jump a few feet straight up in the air after almost stepping on a huge snake while walking down the arm next to the launch site. All in all a good day but not the November fall feed we had hoped for.
