Fished this fine property with fellow member Ralph DeLeonardis yesterday. Arrived at dawn and fished under cloudy skies till noon when the sun finally emerged. We had very little wind all day. Ralph fished out of his kayak and I used an ultraskiff.

First the weeds are waaaaaaay down, water stained with visibilty ranging from 1.5-2ft, and water temps varied from 79F in the main lake to 81F in the west extention.

Between us we caught 63 LMB with a ton of small ones (fingerlings to 14”) and 17 over slot up to 21”. Most of the culls were between 10-12” and most of the the ones over slot were in the 15 – 17” range. All the fish were healthy and even the dinks put up a fight!

Almost all of the action was within 5ft of the bank especially where the reeds were clustered by the bank. Extensively fished the submerged timber in the channel but only had one bite which yielded the 21” bass.

Soft plastics yielded almost all of the fish. Tried a number of other lures with no takers other than a bite on flukes later in the pm. Sq Bill and shallow cranks consistanly dredged up some of the remaining submerged grass and no strikes.
