Fellow PWF member Ken Youngblood and I played hooky on a Friday afternoon and picked the warmest part of the afternoon to scratch the fishing itch.  We fished from 12:30 – 5pm and landed 10 or so LMB ranging from 1 – 2+lb.  We fished from the shore to avoid the high winds and had just enough action to keep it interesting.  Fish seemed to be 6 – 10 feet off the shoreline and fairly passive.  The unusually warm afternoon (record high) may have played a part in their sluggishness.  We did trick a few on soft plastics and got some reaction bites on crankbaits.
