Took the family for their first PWF trip today. My son(8) and daughter(7) need non stop action, preferably from the bank and like catching monster bluegill so thought what better place than Nix Ranch. 

We arrived at 7am to some light rain, so started with my white walker kicknocker and immediately hooked up.  My son was using a pop x popper but no takers except a huge bluegill.  My daughter was throwing the z craw and got one pretty early near the dock.  After the morning bite we took a ride in the boat and checked out a few of the islands. 

Mom wasn't thrilled fishing from the island so we headed to the dock to catch some bluegill and have a snack.

That's when Dub scooted over with his granddaughter on his ATV and we had a good chat.  Before he left he gave us a picture of him and his wife dressed up like Santa and Mrs Claus.  So now my kids think Santa lives in Texas during the summer!

Out by noon as everyone was beat.  A great family day and wonderful property.
