Fished with partner 730AM until rain forced us to take our leave around 2PM. Caught 25, removed 5. Wonderful day for August in Texas – partly cloudy with a slight breeze. Water was clear, visibility of 2- 3 feet. Started early with frogs. What else at TCU? Nothing. Tried other topwaters – nothing. Switched to plastics and started catching. Majority caught on watermellon red flake lizard, with a few on senkos (watermellon/watermellon white), wacky and TX rigged. A few on spinner bait, square bill and jig. No real pattern – caught most close to the bank on the far side opposite the dock. Typical TCU fish – majority at 2-3.5 lbs with largest at 4.25lbs. Great fighters and when they get down in the weeds (which is everywhere below the surface) you think you have a DD reeling them in. No Dub sightings.
