It was my first trip to Black Hat. We didn’t get on the water until about 3 pm. I caught two small fish, then around 5, the bass turn on till about 7. The bass went crazy for a Wacky Worm. There were no big fish caught but still a great day. Schools of baitfish were all over the lake. The grass in the lake almost seems manicured. 

This property is well worth a visit, and I will be going back. The boat ramp is wide and easy to launch from. There is even a street light at the ramp. At the lake gate, there is a port-a-potty and trash can available too. We saw plenty of does with fawns in tow across from the boat ramp up on the hill where a feeder is set up.    

And yes, that is a rattle trap stuck in my leg. Fish and pic first!
