Hit the lake around 6:45am with fellow PWF member, John Herrington, ready for whatever Malouf would bring our way.  Early morning was cloudy and relatively calm but also relatively slow fishing.  The weeds have receeded quite a bit since the last time I was out there which makes the lake much more fishable.  Worked the weedlines with topwater (no takers) as well as soft plastics (moderate success).  When the wind picked up around 9am, the fishing also picked up.  Success in the timber and weedlines on soft plastics.  The dam also produced by throwing reaction baits and soft plastics, if you could keep the boat in position with the howling wind.  Off the lake by noon.  Nothing of size today but it was fun being able to fish more of the lake again and I never complain about 30 fish in a morning session.

By the way, the new gravel road is an awesome improvement.
