After reading all of the good reports on this little lake lately my uncle & I decided to check it out for the first time. On the water by 6:45 and started throwing top water with absoultely no luck. Fished the first hour or so with maybe a bite or two. By the time we worked down the dam and by the no fish zone the bite finally picked up on a white spinnerbait. Caught maybe 4-5 real quick before they shut off again. Worked the east side of the lake with no luck but after coming back around to the west side, the bite was on again with mainly a chartreuse and white chatterbait which is what I primarily fished the rest of the day and had the most luck on. I would say 90% of our fish came just outside of the no fish zone. The lake is relativly shallow with most depths 3-5 feet. Saw one spot that was 8 foot. Only caught a couple of dinks, the rest of the fish we caught were well above average. I caught a 4-8 pounder and my uncle caught a 7-12. I would say the average weight of the fish we caught was somewhere between 2-3 pounds!
